Two More Suspects Remanded Over Ganemulla Sanjeewa Murder

Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali today ordered the remand of two additional suspects in connection with the murder of Ganemulla Sanjeewa until March 7, 2025.

The suspects, identified as Udara Nirmal Gunaratne from Minuwangoda and Nalin Dushyantha from Minuwangoda Road, Dunagaha, were arrested on suspicion of providing SIM cards used in the crime and for allegedly aiding and abetting the murder.

They were detained for 72 hours under the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act No. 48 of 1979 before being presented before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court for further investigations.
