IMF Chief Congratulates President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on Sri Lanka’s Economic Progress



In a recent virtual meeting, International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva congratulated President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on Sri Lanka's notable economic achievements. She emphasized the necessity of ongoing reforms, supported by the IMF arrangement, to attract investments and enhance living standards in the country.


Georgieva reaffirmed the IMF's commitment to being a steadfast partner to Sri Lanka, expressing readiness to assist the nation in achieving its development and reform objectives.
