NPP MP’s Brother Arrested Over Fatal Road Accident in Puttalam

The brother of National People's Power (NPP) Puttalam District MP Muhammad Faizal was arrested following a fatal road accident in Haldaduwana, Koswatta, early this morning (14).

The accident occurred while the MP was on his way to Parliament. According to police, the vehicle veered off the road and collided head-on with a motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The MP’s brother, who was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident, has been taken into custody by the Koswatta Police for further investigation.

Authorities are continuing their inquiries into the tragic incident.
