Former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara has agreed to provide a statement to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) regarding the ongoing investigation into the facilitation of job opportunities for Sri Lankans in South Korea.
Saliya Peiris (PC), the legal counsel representing Nanayakkara, informed the Colombo Magistrate’s Court that his client will cooperate fully with the investigations. Nanayakkara has committed to assisting the CID by offering a statement tomorrow, as part of the inquiry into the case.
The investigation pertains to allegations of illegal practices in facilitating job placements for Sri Lankans in South Korea. Nanayakkara, who previously held a ministerial position, has expressed his readiness to cooperate with the authorities as the probe progresses.
