Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Chairman Imthiaz Bakeer Markar Resigns

Imthiaz Bakeer Markar has stepped down from his position as Chairman of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB). He confirmed to the Daily Mirror that he has submitted his resignation letter to SJB leader Sajith Premadasa.

Despite resigning from the chairmanship, Bakeer Markar stated, "I will remain with the SJB though I have given up this post," indicating his continued support for the party.
